Leaving the house is overrated
I just spent a very long hour with a friend and her preschooler and I have to say, my memories of A are still better company than that 90% of the people I know that are still walking the earth. At least when I talk to him, I get to finish a sentence. I finish all of them. Of course, I start all of ‘em, too, which is the real bummer. There are some people in your life that sparkle with such brilliance that anything less seems barely worth enduring, and they ruin you for most other conversation and company. A was one of these. I am blessed to have a few such folks in my life, but these gems are so valuable and so beautiful that having even one missing is a grave and noticeable loss. I miss him so.
